Bettersubbook

Privacy & data

Last updated September 30, 2026 · Version 1.0.0

In short: Bettersubbook has no account, no server, no ads and no analytics. Your shifts and calendar stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to the developer.

What Bettersubbook stores (on your computer only)

Everything below lives in your browser's extension storage for this extension. It never leaves your computer unless a section further down says so.

What is sent over the internet, and where

There is no Bettersubbook server. Nothing is sent to the developer, there is no tracking, and no data is sold, shared or used for advertising. Calendar data is used only to find your shifts and show your free time, and is never used for anything else.

The Subbook page

On the Subbook site, Bettersubbook reads the shift list that is already on the page so it can sort, filter and fill in the form. That information stays in your browser. It does nothing on other sites, and it never submits a request for you.

Google Calendar (when available)

Bettersubbook's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request read-only access to your calendars. You can revoke access at any time by unlinking the calendar in Settings, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your choices

Children

Bettersubbook is meant for student staff and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version ships with the extension and the date above changes. A change that sends more data anywhere will always ask for your consent first.
