Terms of service

Last updated September 30, 2026

By installing or using Bettersubbook you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall it.

What it is

Bettersubbook is a free, independent browser extension that changes how the Subbook shift board looks and helps you fill in forms on it. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Subbook, Campus Recreation or the University of Illinois. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

You stay in charge

• Bettersubbook never submits a request for you. Check every shift, date, time, role and location before you press Submit on the Subbook page.
• Calendar detection is a best guess. You are responsible for the shifts you approve and request, and for following the rules of your employer and of Subbook.

Using it properly

• Use it for your own schedule and your own account only.
• Don't use it to bypass limits, overload the Subbook site, or act on anyone else's behalf.
• Don't redistribute altered copies under the Bettersubbook name.

Your data

How data is handled is described in the Privacy & data page, which forms part of these terms. In short, it stays on your computer.

No warranty

Bettersubbook is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It depends on how Subbook and your calendar provider work today, and it may stop working, or work incorrectly, if they change. To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for missed, wrong or duplicated shift requests, lost data, or any other loss from using it.

Changes and ending

The add-on may be updated, changed or withdrawn at any time. You can stop using it at any time by removing it. These terms may be updated with new versions of the add-on.
